Meet Our Pastor

On December 17, 2021 Clarence “Chuck” Morse was installed as the 5th pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church New Orleans.

Morse is the founder of United By Water Ministries. He also served as the Associate Minister at Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Paster Kenneth E. Thompson.

Morse currently serves as a professor at Union Baptist College and Theological Seminary in New Orleans.

Morse serves as Executive Director of Thrive NOLA, a small business development, workforce development, and community development organization.

Morse serves on various boards, commissions and task force that address the felt needs of people in the New Orleans region. He takes pride in serving others for the advancement of the community.

Morse has an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from Virginia State University, a Master’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Divinity from Union Baptist College Theological Seminary in New Orleans.

He is married to Judy Reese Morse and has two children Grace and Trey.  He resides in New Orleans.
